The beautiful tropical flower known as Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) is found all over the tropical regions of this planet with no known origin. It can be used to indicate the pH levels of liquids, and has been used as a method by which to worship Devi by the Vedas.

The flower is traditionally eaten in salads but can also be brewed in a tea. Many therapeutic qualities have been discovered when studying this plant including its ability to regulate sugar in rats with diabetes. The flavonoids in the flower also exhibit anti-depressant activity. There are also suggestions that the herb can be used to regulate cholesterol, blood pressure UTI’s & the common cold as well as many other conditions.
