Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare), who is apart of the carrot family, is a fragrant herb used for cooking & as medicine. In Greek mythology Prometheus used a stalk of fennel to carry fire back from Mount Olympus.
The bulb is rich in calcium, iron & magnesium. The seeds are an excellent tonic for the digestive system reducing pain, bloating & gas while increasing appetite.
