Cleavers (Galium aparine) are those sticky plants you find stuck to your pants after a hike. This herb is considered a noxious weed in most parts of the world, & it’s original habitat is unclear. It is from the same family as coffee & it’s fruits can be dried & roasted for a low caffeine drink.
Clivers can be used on the skin as a poultice to heal light wounds, burns, bites & stings. Taken internally cleavers helps to clear the lymphatic system of toxins, which in turn boosts immunity & encourages well being, the plant does this by encouraging more urinary & fecal output.
