Oxalis (Oxalis pes-caprae), also known as Sourgrass or Soursob of the wood-sorrel family, exists as many different variations all over the world, but this particular species is native to South Africa.
The flowers, leaves & bulbs of Soursob are all edible. The flavour, as its name suggests, are rather sour & sharp so consumption in smaller amounts is recommended. Varieties of Oxalis in general are believed to treat liver & digestive issues. Yellow oxalis is very high in Vitamin C & can be used to treat internal sores & cleanse the blood.
