Oregano (Origanum Vulgare), also known are marjoram was originally found spanning from Central Asia to the Mediterranean, it is now cultivated internationally. The herb has always found use in folk medicine, like in Greek mythos when Aphrodite used oregano to heal the wounds of Aeneas.
Oregano is known to be antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anti-parasitic & antispasmodic. It is considered a great herb for clearing the digestive & respiratory system of unwanted microbes. Internally dosing with oregano oil for no longer than 6 weeks may have a positive impact on overall health. Although this herb is not appropriate for everyone as it is very strong & may interact with drugs like lithium.
